Personality (write a decent paragraph):
Ivy is a very determined woman as she is not fazed by having to kill anyone in her way of her dream for a perfect world. She is a manipulative seductress, and she uses her charms to poison or place mind control one someone in one way other another. Ivy can be selfish, stubborn and sometimes even outrageous and it is always for a benefit - hers.
She has her motherly moments where she can seem lovable and caring - and it's usually directed at children. Perhaps due to being unable to have one of her own, or even her traumatic childhood. Her plants though are the real focus of her love.
Her one and only true love is the Earth. She mothers her plants as if they were children, they basically are her children. Mothering her plants as if they were children, Ivy grows them and breeds them on huge levels - even putting them above her own life.
Perhaps she just feels more plant than human.
She is also very intelligent, charming when need be and will stop at nothing until the world is in the perfect Eden state that she desires.

History:
With a little help from Wiki.
Dr. Pamela Lillian Isley, a botanist from Seattle, was once a very intelligent, naive, college student who knew just about everything about plants. That is, until her professor, Dr. Jason Woodrue conducted experiments upon her by easily seducing her. Woodrue injects Isley with poisons and toxins as an experiment, causing her transformation. She nearly dies twice as a result from these poisonings, driving her insane.
The toxins in her blood stream make her touch deadly and allow her to be immune to all poisons, viruses, bacteria, and fungi. The experiments also allowed her to produce mind-control pheromones that drove men wild at her touch. They also made her barren, and she has treated her plants as children, mothering them, ever since.
Woodrue fled the authorities, leaving Pamela in the hospital for six months. Enraged at the betrayal, Pamela suffered violent mood swings. After her boyfriend got into a car accident after mysteriously suffering from a massive fungal overgrowth, Isley dropped out of school and left Seattle, eventually setting roots down in Gotham City.
She begins her criminal career by threatening to release her suffocating spores into the air unless the city meets her demands. Thus, she became infamous as Poison Ivy. Batman, who had appeared in Gotham that very same year, subdued her and thwarted her scheme, resulting in her incarceration in Arkham Asylum for the Criminally Insane.
As the years wore on, the naive Pamela Isley slowly faded and the hardness of a criminal took its place. Year by year she became more plant like, developing plant-like superpowers, the most noticeable being a lethal toxin in her lips; she is able to literally kill with a kiss.
A few years later, she would try to leave Gotham forever, escaping Arkham to settle on a desert island in the Caribbean. She molded the barren wasteland into a second Eden, and was, for the first time in her life, happy. It was soon firebombed, however, when an American-owned corporation tested their weapons systems out on what they thought was an abandoned island. Ivy then returned to Gotham with a vengeance, punishing those responsible. After willing apprehension by Batman, she resolved that she could never leave Gotham, at least not until the world was safe for plants. From then on, she dedicated herself to the impossible mission of purifying Gotham.

As she had been keeping an eye on Adele and her admirers, Jane had also been watching the comings and goings of the ball. People entered, dressed more ridiculously than the person in front, and people left, looking rather infuriated. But two men had caught her attention as they entered and she looked at them curiously, but as the man spoke to his fellow she quickly turned away, realizing that he was speaking about her.
A gentle blush rose to her cheeks, a small crease appeared in the middle of her forehead as she fought back even more embarrassment. She severely hoped that the ball did not last much longer, she wanted to be safe in the confines of Thornfield Hall, in her room with a book, knowing that the following days would lead to only teaching Adele and nothing more.
She wondered if she would ever forgive Mr Rochester for forcing her to attend this ridiculous gathering where she neither fit in or wanted to be, but deep in her mind, she knew that she would forgive him. For he was gracious enough to take her in as a governess, provide her room and food, and a warm fire to sit by. Yes, of course she would forgive him.
Jane walked a little alone the room, her eyes still on Adele parading herself in front of a group of beautiful women. She slowly sighed and wondered why she had not been granted the gift of being more handsome.
